Privacy Policy for Cairn Harmony

Cairn Harmony is strictly committed to protecting your personal data and upholding your absolute privacy. The application is built with a 100% Offline-First architecture, ensuring all records are stored and encrypted on your local iOS device.

1. No Centralized Server Storage

We do not own, operate, or maintain centralized database servers to store or analyze your personal records. Any data you enter (finances, scanned receipts, schedule blocks, Dunbar relationship circles, goals, or reflections) remains exclusively on your own iPhone hardware.

2. On-Device Services & Security

• Database Encryption (SQLCipher AES-256): Cairn Harmony uses SQLCipher with AES-256 bit encryption to secure your database at-rest. Encryption keys are provisioned inside the iOS system Keychain and Apple Secure Enclave, remaining protected even when your device is locked.
• On-Device Vision OCR: Receipt parsing and text recognition run 100% locally via the Apple Vision framework on your device's Neural Engine chip. Receipt images are never uploaded to any remote server.
• Apple Health (HealthKit) Integration: If granted access, Cairn Harmony reads steps, heart rate, and sleep duration locally to draw the Health dashboard. This metadata is parsed entirely locally and is never shared or exported.
• On-Device Location (Geofencing): Location permission is utilized strictly to detect local region departures, prompting you to log expenses. All geo-calculations are executed entirely on-device without network telemetry.
• Contacts Access: Cairn Harmony accesses contacts locally solely for selecting names and phone numbers when establishing relationship circles. We never export your address book.

3. CloudKit Synchronization (E2EE)

If you subscribe to Cairn Plus or purchase the Lifetime Pass and enable iCloud syncing, data is shared across your personal Apple devices via your private iCloud account (CloudKit Private Database). Data is End-to-End Encrypted (E2EE) with your local cryptographic key before upload. Neither Apple nor the Cairn Harmony team can decrypt or read your records.

4. Data Deletion Rights

You have the unconditional right to permanently wipe all stored data at any time via the "Delete Data" action inside app settings. This completely purges the local SQLite database and removes all synchronized segments from your personal CloudKit store. This operation is permanent and irreversible.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy statement to reflect new features or platform capabilities. Any updates will be published on this website and highlighted in app update release notes.
